This is an alternate universe (AU) fiction, based on the Project: Unigenitus main characters. It can also have some small appearances of characters from other of my stories. Nothing written on this story can be related to PU, except for some character behaviors and names.

III. Don’t Sleep

The morning light entered Yamah’s bedroom through a tiny opening from the curtains. The silver haired boy was still asleep; his bare back was left uncovered by the sheet that only managed to protect his round buttocks. One of his arms was hanging from the edge of the bed and the pillow rested beside his head. The young boy, even though he was profoundly asleep, could hear some rustle very far away. Little by little he came to his senses, interrupting his rhythmical breathing and opening his eyelids just a little to see a shadow pass by once, then twice, until he finally could distinguish it was another person in the same room.

“What the…?” he managed to murmur with a coarse voice at the person who was there making all that noise that woke him up.

“Ain’t you going to class today?” the brunette finally asked to the still drowsy boy in bed.

Upon hearing the word ‘class’, the silver haired boy instantly woke up and rose from the bed with shock in his face. “Damn! I almost overslept again!”

“Err… yeah…” Eiji just stared at his naked roommate that was standing in front of him more worried about him missing class than his nudity. Yamah then noticed Eiji signaled him about his compromising situation with his golden eyes; a big blush appeared on Yamah’s cheeks, and quickly grabbed the sheet off his bed and covered his private parts, absolutely ashamed and spitting out a curse.

“Hey, don’t worry… I mean, as if I have never seen one before” Eiji casually said while grabbing his comb and brushing his hair a little before taking his jacket from the desk’s chair. “I gotta go. Hurry up if you want to make it to class”

The brunette boy then opened the door and disappeared through the door, leaving his rather ashamed roommate speechless. When the door finally closed, Yamah let out a deep sigh, as if he had been containing his breathing for the longest time.

“Damn, how stupid!” he shouted while poking his head hardly. I forgot that now I don’t sleep alone anymore.

Trying to forget the incident of a few moments ago, he quickly entered the bathroom, getting ready for class. Without wasting more time, he hastily brushed his teeth, pulled up his pants – still wearing no underwear, half buttoned his white shirt and grabbed his jacket and books with his left hand as he ran through the corridor to the elevator.

Finally after several minutes, he arrived at his classroom; class number 3-A, the ‘prodigious’ class of NPHS as some students called it, and for a good reason. Almost all students in that class had excellent, if not superb grades, but no one could ever break Yamah’s record of straight A+ in the last years. Even Koji had trouble taking a spot in the top 10 of excellent academic performance, being on 7th place, while Yamah always occupied 1st since he entered NPHS.

“The prodigy arrives at last” the young female teacher said when Yamah entered the classroom interrupting the beginning of the Literature class.

“Sorry… very sorry Ms. Iimura” Yamah was panting, trying to recover his breath after such a quick race. The other students smiled really amused about his classmate arriving late; in fact, this time he wasn’t as late as he used to be in the second day of class. “May I come in?” the silver haired boy asked after a few seconds, his breathing restored into its usual rhythm.

“Yes, you may” the teacher said. Ms. Iimura was one of the few young –and attractive female young teachers of the school. Her black, long hair with a few red stripes and those provocative dresses she liked to wear, always made the young students really excited and tried to never miss her class, not because they liked literature, but obviously because of the free eye candy.

Yamah walked through the desks of his classmates, arriving to his own and sitting immediately. He could notice Eiji was staring at him with those golden eyes that always made him feel uncomfortable, especially when he was the center of attention due to his delay to class. After some moments, the teacher finally decided to continue with her class.

“So, my dear students” she began with a rather sexy voice, sitting on the edge of her desk, allowing the nearest students to check on her well-built legs. Maybe she did it on purpose? Yamah just stared at the whole scene with some disgust, how could she be so… so… so vulgar?

“I guess some of you already know me, but just in case, I will introduce myself for our new students” she continued, staring brazenly at Eiji of course. She had this little fame about dating students younger than her age, something that even the most shy and educated students once desired in their wildest dreams. Obviously, Eiji was now one of the most attractive students Ms. Iimura had ever seen, so why not give it a try?

“My name is Suzaku Iimura, or Ms. Iimura as some of you refer to me” she smiled, the red lipstick shone with delicacy adding a hint of sensuality on her lips. It was amazing how she managed to keep the students quiet, even if it was just a simple introduction. “All right class, let’s begin. Open your books on page 22”

“Oi… Yamah”  Koji’s voice muttered to the silver haired boy, trying to not interrupt the class.

“Hm?” Yamah turned his head a little to stare at the blonde youngster who leaned in, like Yamah, to get a bit closer.  He was about to ask Koji what he wanted when the other boy began to speak.

“Great work… you just arrived 15 minutes late on your second day of class. I wondered when would you beat your one hour late record, but I guess today was not going to happen” Koji said mockingly to his partner. Yamah had this curious bad habit of arriving late on second days of class after every break they had, even if it was only a two-week vacation.

“Oh, shut up” Yamah responded angrily.

“What made you arrive not as late as usual?” the other boy questioned his rather upset friend beside him. Yamah was about to tell him that was Eiji’s ‘fault’, but then he remembered the whole naked scene and he just maintained his silence, a pinkish tone appearing on his cheeks, which he tried to hide by turning his face around so Koji couldn’t notice.

“Anyways, I was wondering…” the blonde paused for a moment, “if you will register in the basket ball team this year”.

“Of course I will” Yamah answered silently with a frown, forgetting his embarrassment. “If not, what else could I do in the afternoons? I would get bored to death”.

“Of course” Koji replied with a wide smile. He knew Yamah was an excellent player. In fact, he was the key to win all games due to his outstanding ability. One could almost say that he was born to play basket ball or any other sports for that matter. “I’m sure we will win this year’s championship again”.

Yamah returned to his original position, and tried to pay attention to the class. I wonder what sports team Eiji will register, he thought now that Koji had reminded him about the basket ball team. Let’s hope he hates karate.

“I love karate” Eiji stared at the platinum eyes of the young man besides him. “That’s why I will register with the karate team”.

“But Kurumada is there! He is the evil captain of the team!” Yamah tried to convince Eiji to not enter the karate club, since he hated the ash blonde guy so much.

“So? It is none of your business” the brunette replied calmly, as he began to take his jacket off. Both young men were walking through the corridor down to their shared room. Yamah was still upset about Eiji’s decision, but the brown haired boy had a point… it was truly none of his business. But why did he have the feeling there was something fishy about it?

“Ok, fine” the silver haired boy finally submitted, trying to not give anymore importance to the subject.

“Fine” Eiji repeated. There was something about these discussions that Yamah found exciting in some way, as if he always desired to have someone to fight with. It didn’t bother Yamah at all; in fact, he liked to discuss things with the brunette. Now that he thought about it, Eiji was now becoming like the brother he never had, even though he just met him and they didn’t converse that much.

The boys arrived at their room, and Yamah opened the door with his key, entering the room before Eiji. He dropped his leather suitcase near the door, while Eiji left his jacket at the desk’s chair and then his black backpack over his bed. The silver haired youth plopped over his bed, staring at the ceiling. He was beginning to feel bored. He then remembered something. Sitting down, he faced Eiji and asked a question.

“Why did you check on my personal math notebook?” the young man questioned. “And most importantly, how did you manage to solve that parabola problem? You are not supposed to know that yet.” He continued with that last affirmation, since it was advanced calculus and it was impossible to learn that until you got to a college or a university.

“I like to solve things…” was Eiji’s convenient answer. “Besides, you left your notebook over the desk when I was going to do my homework, precisely opened on that page”.

“And what gave you the right to touch it, or even ‘correct’ my notes?” Yamah questioned again.

“I was bored. Homework was too easy,” Eiji said. He was changing his clothes inside the bathroom with the door half opened, allowing Yamah to peek inside a little.

“What kind of an excuse is that? And what do you mean by homework was too easy?”

Eiji came out of the bathroom shrugging with his hands inside his pockets, now wearing a tidy creamy yellow CK shirt and black pants. Yamah could smell a hint of fresh lotion, and he frowned at his roommate. “Are you going to some fancy place or something?”

“Just somewhere” Eiji replied with his usual coldness, and took his wallet from his backpack, placing it inside his pants back pocket.

“Another one of those gigs you talk about so little?” Yamah tried to retrieve more information; this mysterious ‘part time’ job was making Yamah go crazy with curiosity.

“Sort of”. Again that coldness Yamah couldn’t stand.

“Right” he said trying not to give anymore importance to the subject. Eiji was about to leave, but he stopped right before crossing the door.

“Are you going out tonight?” the brunette asked somewhat worried. Yamah blinked at him with a puzzled face, nodding in denial. “Ok” Eiji responded, and finally left the room.

Yamah didn’t understand why the other boy asked him that. It was really strange indeed. The youth laid his body down over the bed again, closing his eyes. He was feeling unusually tired; or maybe it was just that he was too tired of being bored. The first week of school didn’t have much to offer. The sports clubs weren’t opened yet until next week, giving the students time to decide which team to register, so he couldn’t go to train to keep himself distracted.

I guess I’ll just take a nap then, the silver haired boy thought, feeling how his body relaxed, falling asleep. Not even a few minutes had passed when he felt something wet near his face, something that was sniffing him, blowing his white strands of hair off his face. He opened his eyes slowly, discovering that a huge dog was inside his room and it was too freaking close.

“Holy shit!” Yamah shouted, raising his body and moving quickly to the other side of the bed. It was a big black and sienna brown dog, which was staring at him really interested with its small reddish eyes. The dog leaned its head to the left a little observing the young man, while Yamah just stayed really still and silent, not wanting to provoke the dog.

“Brayden!” a voice from outside was calling a name that suddenly was familiar to Yamah. But of course! Brayden, Koji’s roommate’s dog.

“Oh, there you are!” Koji appeared through the door with his cheerful personality, carrying a leash in his hands. He got closer to the dog and to a somewhat frightened Yamah, who still wasn’t moving, but decided to break his silence.

“What the hell is that dog doing here??” the silver haired boy almost shouted to his friend pointing at the dog. Koji immediately put the leash on the dog’s neck and smiled to Yamah.

“Well… Touga decided that Brayden should give a stroll outside before going to bed and I offered to walk him, but just after we opened the door, Brayden just ran away. I guess he was too impatient to wait for me to put his leash on” the blonde young man explained to Yamah. The silver haired youth was now more tranquil and decided to sit near the edge of the bed, staring at the dog that was also staring at him and panting as if it didn’t do anything bad.

“And how did he enter my room?” Yamah asked again, now staring at Koji.

“I believe your door was not closed” Koji replied.

“Eiji…” Yamah murmured, intuiting that his roommate had forgotten to close it since he was in such a hurry to leave.

“What?” the other boy asked, firmly gripping Brayden’s leash.

“Nothing. Just take that damn dog out of my sight” Yamah fell over his bed once again, giving his back to both Koji and Brayden in a desperate attempt to make them leave him alone. He thought Koji would leave with the dog right away, but then he felt that sniffing again. Now he was in a bad mood.

“Take it away!” Yamah cuddled more like if he was a frightened kid. He really didn’t like dogs that much, especially the big ones.

“But why? It seems that Brayden likes you” Koji was very entertained to see how his friend showed his weakness just because of a dog. “It is pretty strange that Brayden would like someone this easily. I guess he feels a good aura in you”

“Bullshit” Yamah cursed as he lifted his body from the bed again, staring at the dog. “Go away. Leave me alone. Get it?”. Of course the dog didn’t understand, it was a good try though. Brayden gave a few licks to Yamah’s face in that moment and then stood up, walking to one of the corners of the room and lying down as if he was going to take a nap there.

“That’s such a weird, weird dog” the silver haired boy finally said with a puzzled expression. Koji just smiled and sat in the chair close to Yamah, still grabbing the leash in case Brayden decided to run away again.

“So, do you know the latest news?” Koji asked to his friend who decided to just lean his body over the wall, still sitting on the bed with his spread legs over the sheets.

“What news?”

“Party at the Moore’s. Of course we weren’t invited. Only the crème of the crème go to those fancy parties” Koji explained.

“Right, the party the Moore always organize each year. I was aware of it, but I really don’t give a shit if I am invited or not” Yamah responded as if he didn’t care at all.

“Aren’t you a little intrigued? I wish I could go and see how those parties are like, y’know?” Koji said, trying to interest his friend. “I know Shiro is going, he told me a few minutes ago. Of course he won’t tell me at what time or where the Moore’s place is. I believe they use their summer house here at Tokyo, people say is pretty spacious”.

“I guess” Yamah was thinking of a way to change the subject, but Koji interrupted continuing with his ramblings.

“I want to go…” the blonde said as if he was about to make a tantrum. “I want to see if all those things I hear the day after the party are true. They say the Moore have gourmet snacks and the best wines; and they invite gorgeous young ladies, who would make you certain ‘favors’ for free! No wonder, I mean, they’re rich after all”.

“You are just getting obsessed, Koji. Forget about it” the silver haired boy replied, but Koji insisted.

“Wouldn’t it be cool that we showed up? Just to have a look… please?? We can find out the place’s address, I know they invite people by email and Shiro surely has it on his computer” Koji pleaded Yamah with his hazel colored eyes blinking like a good mama’s boy. Yamah tried not to fall in Koji’s trap, but he couldn’t help it either. He wanted to take a look too. And his partner’s idea was too irresistible to just waste it.

“Fine, fine” Yamah sighed, deciding to help Koji. “We could hack his computer from another computer since the dorms have a local network, and thus find that email with that info”.

Koji’s eyes enlightened with excitement, a wide smile appearing on his lips. “Domo arigatooooo!” he shouted and rose from his seat, taking Yamah’s arm and pulling him outside the room while Brayden followed them closely.

“W-where are we going?!” Yamah asked truly confused while walking hastily down the corridor to Koji’s room.

“Let’s not waste anymore time! Touga has a personal computer and I’m sure he will lend it to us!” the blonde was too excited to even talk and he just kept walking, still pulling Yamah from his arm.

After a few seconds, both boys arrived to Koji’s room, going inside. Touga was there, watching some TV from his bed and saw both youngsters along with Brayden, arrive with rush.

“Hi Touga! Let me introduce you to my friend Yamah” Koji spoke and pulled Yamah in front of him, while the silver haired youth was still trying to comprehend what was going on.

“Hi there. Koji has mentioned you in some of our past conversations. It is nice to meet you” Touga smiled to Yamah while offering his right hand to greet him, the white haired boy accepted his hand with a weak smile. Touga was younger than them by about two years, but he had a mature appearance: His black, short hair and his little glasses made him look like some kind of young intellectual, ready to become an important science man.

“Can we use your computer? Yamah here is going to make an important investigation” Koji said, still very excited.

“Sure. Is there over the desk” Touga pointed at the metallic looking laptop. Yamah thanked him and he sat on the chair, opening the laptop and discovering it was a 17 inches Powerbook G4, the recent model. Yamah’s eyes widened in amazement, it was truly a piece of technological art. Man, I’ve always wanted to try one of these! I hope I can still remember how to use a Macintosh OS.

“C’mon, c’mon, I can’t wait!” the blonde impatiently tried to hasten his friend.

“Calm down! Gee…” Yamah replied, and turned back to the computer, pressing the ‘on’ button. The sweet introductory symphony of the Mac’s operating system started to play and after a few seconds, Yamah was ready to put hands to work. He crunched his fingers and took the mouse, opening the telnet server and beginning to type commands that Koji had never seen before.

“Ok, I just need to locate the node where his computer is connected,” Yamah murmured, still typing. A beep was heard minutes later, letting the boy know that he had finally hacked into Shiro’s computer. “Bingo”.

“Cool!” Koji was behind Yamah, leaning his body over his friend and watching closely.

Yamah began to look at Shiro’s computer desktop. He then found the way to hack his e-mail inbox and copied a message that had ‘Moore’ as the sender. After copying the email to Touga’s desktop, Yamah immediately disconnected from Shiro’s computer erasing anything that could expose him, since he could leave a trail behind. Not that Shiro was any hacker expert, but still the silver haired boy liked to be cautious.

“Hmmm” Yamah opened the text file and read it. “Welcome party by the Moore cousins. Totally FREE. Bring your date if you like, although you may find available material here. The address is: 49 Sakurasawa Avenue. Be there by 9 o’clock. DO NOT SPREAD THE WORD.”

Both boys stared at each other; it was a really short but descriptive letter. Koji smiled once again truly excited. He couldn’t wait for the time to arrive. Yamah checked his watch. It was 7 pm. They still had two hours until the party really started, and like Koji, he was very excited, although he didn’t show it as much. They both had decided to wait until 10 pm to arrive, so nobody would notice their intrusion.

The night’s sky was becoming a little bit cloudy, and after a few more minutes, rain began falling from the dark sky. Rainy days weren’t something that Yamah appreciated, especially if he was going out. It was a strange weather for summer, but then again, many strange events were occurring to Yamah lately. This night was going to be for sure a long and interesting one.
